wat is wrong..

something is realli wrong with me la... dunno how to change... realli need to re think alot of things..

sometimes when u put in effort and ppl dont recognise its realli very frustrating... wonder how to continue and should i continue on.. or should i strengthen my weakness.. is that wat life is all about??? trying to bring out the best of everything or just be content with everything...

today went for a little pamper for myself but it doesn't pay la...started quite well but didn't end very well... but wat ever it is.. hopefully tml everything would be better...

another thought.

well now already 12 plus le.. baby's sleeping.. he's tired so didn't get a chance to chat with him and gossip.. heheee... becos he called me earlier at 11pm sharp somemore... i just finished eating my dinner and watching show onli... so quickly bathe packed my things called him at 11.30pm.. but he's asleep le.. i wanted to go sleep one.. but decided to surf net awhile.. though my eyes were like going to shut soon... that's me... bad habit me..



today after the wasted trip... played a game on my bro's DS lite.. its some music rhythmic game... long time never play the dog le.. so u can imagine if that time baby did buy me a DS lite i think it will turn mouldy very fast and the dog i'm supposed to take care would die within days... or hours??? hahaha.. exaggarating again.. oh ya.. the rhythm game quite nice but difficult la.. onli managed to pass a few rounds then i give up le... though i play piano.. i think i can only recognize black and white keys.. hahaha..



now trying to put songs into my Sony Walkman.. stupid copyright thing.. can't even transfer songs directly into it.. must dunno convert to this OMA file.. sianz... how i miss my ZEN but creative things doesn't last lor... so sianz... watever it is.. i'm getting help from someone.. hopefully he will let me know good news soon..



today received a call from baby then realised that his boss wants to enquire piano class for her daughter who is only 4 years old... so many 4 years old ppl starting now.. even though i dun like YAMAHA music system... i still dun mind recommending ppl to attend..but must carefullly choose outlet and choose teacher... cos i see different ppl teaching at different speed and different method and different attitude... below are the summary that i found out from my students who are previously from yamaha..

Therefore, the Yamaha Junior Course does not give children technique-oriented training, but instead focuses on ear training since a childs aural sense develops most rapidly during this period.

At Yamaha, children are taught to recognise musical sounds through listening by ear and memorizing melodies by note names (solfege singing). Before long, they are able to sing what they hear, and be able to play what they sing.

MY thoughts
so now i understand why yamaha student learnt everything by ear.. cos that's the easier way to teach students anything cos they claim that at age 4 -5 going by hearing its the easiest way to learn things...

but the very downside of this is that they totally dont read notes.. but this is the most important skill that student should have... (to me..) cos without knowing how to read notes u would always need other ppl to tell u or guide u...

though i dont deny that if u have a perfect pitch... everything else would be easy.. but how is it possible to get the best of both worlds right??? unless they dont mind spending time to do so.. cos to realli learn the basics strong i believe would need 2 years or even longer for those who are slower in learning... so now if students come and complain that they are learning too slow.. i would rebute and say.. "that's the speed i have to move to make sure you learn everything correctly and strong.." whether they will thank me in the future.. its up to them...

i have quite a handful of students who come out from the JMC having alot of trouble trying to read notes and have proper finger technique.. yes you may argue with me that "aiyo so young why you focus so much on finger technique when its all so borring..." well.. too bad then. u want be good.. u realli need to work hard... becos i dun have good teachers to start with i regret now.. so now i hope to be a good teacher that can impart all the necessary basics stuff that all good students should have in the future..

my aim for students.
1. be able to read notes independently
2. be able to count in correct rhythm independently
3. be able to recognise notes purely by hearing
4. be able to have strong fingers to run the keyboard at any time
5. be able to handle any new pieces thrown to them at any time
6. be able to accept changes to any of the things need to refine
7. be able to notice differences between songs
8. be able to recognize different composers/period being played
9. be able to sing in pitch
10. be able to teach others in the future.

am i asking for alot?? do u guys know learning anything you have to go extra mile?? doesn't mean i teach piano i dun teach music... doesn't mean that you learn violin you no need to learn to read notes.. its like so many things are attached to one subject alone.. like u learn english you have to learn outside a bit...not just reading one genre of work would help... you have to read on novels, fictions, non-fictions. and so many more... so when would you stop learning??? when you are not interested... if not you have to read everything that is related... by asking that of students now... is it too much??

just like now i have to prepare more for students so that they can learn more but how many of them actually appreciate your effort and follow ur lesson plans??? those that never practice and those that never do homework are already affecting ur progress planned for them.. then in the end when they dun make it... you get the blame.. do u think its fair???

i realli need to thank those parents who doesn't give me any pressure and realli believe that i would do a good job educating their child... but sometimes i would think i'm not giving enough... in this world.. how can giving stop??? when it stop the world would turn grey....

i realli need to thank those students who put in effort to make sure everything are done properly for the next lesson...

i realli need to thank those parents who have faith in me and recommended me to other friends.. think up till now about half of my students are get by referrals... thanks to all..

i realli need to thank those students who smiles even though i scolded them for not practicing becos i know they are not angry with me...

i realli need to thank those students who gives me angry face after i scold them for not practicing becos of this i know scolding u are useless.. make me think of other ways to encounter ur behaviour..

i realli need to thank those parents who are always concerned about their child progress and tried to convey ur ideas back to me..

i realli need to thank those parents who think that i'm lousy cos i didn't ensure a pass in their child's exam...

i think there are many reasons and things to thank to who i am... will try to be a better teacher by not throwing tempers.. cos i'm a very easily irritated teacher...
no homework = die..
no practice = die..
never listen = super die..
no homework + no practice + never practice = can drop student (YEAh~!~!~)

there are alot of stories to continue on.. but think its rather long le.. maybe tml got the blogging mood again will talk again on this topic... i think everyday talk also need a very long time to finish all...heheee

wasted day..

sianz... just came back from a 10 mins ride on my car... well... came back from morning clas at around 11 plus after returning the rented DVD @ Play Kiosk at Toa Payoh.. came back.. rested a while and cooked lunch..after that do up some scheduling of classes then went to practice my piano... cos i scare teacher scold ma.. though she doesn't scream or shout.. just one firm saying for her already enough to scare the shit out of me le ( abit extraggant la..heehe).. then tired.. went to take a short nap.. think about 15 mins.. woke up.. late for class le.. class is at tampines 4pm.. i left house say about 3.40... so thinking i sure will late.. msged my teacher telling her first... then got this msg back "ah.. thought i said no class till my concert?".. duh.. i was like alamak.. isit?? think i never read her last msg properly.. she did mention something about concert thingy.. so i took a U-turn back home.. so here i am typing this...

wasted sia.. should have ask earlier.. could have gone out to cut my hair and then go shopping with my bro to get our new year clothes.. so wasted.. such time would not be here again le la..

but on the good note... i did practice for lesson though no lessson attended.. at least i practiced.. hehee... so not so bad la...

so here's me.. no haircut yet.. no new clothes yet.. no new bags yet.. no new shoes yet... but a new lappy... and hopefully a new time slot enough for me to rest.. hehee..

this sunday would be packed with things... have classes in the morning then go to teacher's concert at 5pm.. then wedding dinner at 7.30pm... will sure drag till very long le... till 11 plus then will reach home.. wanted to change next week lesson with teacher next week.. but guess have to go afterall since i missed two lessons already... too bad... never mind.. be a hard working and now skipping class student would definitely do me good..

i realised there are alot of things i want to learn and do this year... like for example.. i want to make the cross stitch that i started but never finished... i want to do up a nice scrap book was thinking of doing for all my close friends.. i want to learn my violin but scare i will die half way practicing... i want to open my personal concert.. i want to save money.. i want to get married.. i want to own a car.. preferabably Volkswagen Beetle Red.. i want to earn more money but rest more ( abit stupid i know. heheee...) i want to get my own house...

does all these considered my new year resolution??? if u think yes.. yes lor.. hehee.. but some are out of way one la... shall work hard..

heehee.. here i am blogging again.. hehee... at baby's house... with my 小芬妮.. its like so sweet.. hehee..

today went to a class initially very angry cos that girl going to have exams soon but keep on saying that she's busy la... no time to practice or do any homework any all.. realli wanted to scream my lungs out at her.. managed to keep my cool and tried my best to impart all the things that should be learnt to her... luckily everything ended on a better note.. at least now she knows how to play about 80% of her song... so not so bad... luckily la... was quite happy that everything went well..

so sometimes keeping cool is realli quite a good thing but i dunno how long i can endure her cos she's realli packed with so many things to do that i dont realli have patience to entertain her for so many times.. hopefully she will pass her exams la.. if not i sure die.. and will also have problems trying to get new students le...

need a hair cut soon.. still waiting for time to go.. or should i say... wait till my bro comes back.. he's out for chalet.. when he's back will drag him to go cut hair.. hehee...

yesterday night cancel my class cos my fever was making me weak... sianz.. some students have to skip one week again. luckily no students taking exam... so not so bad la... normally if students taking exam i would not cancel... if not miss out one lesson can means alot to them and me...

later still going for class... this morning wanted to cancel my class one.. then my student canceled it before me cos she's having fever too... so just nice.. got a better sleep... woke up around 10 plus... then watch TV and stone... preparing to go out soon too..

there's this bad habit that i've accumlated over the past and baby seems not to like it at all.. but i think i will pass this bad habit to him.... with the long hours of spending together next time.. hehee.. everytime when i reached home at night i would always sit till i happy then i would go bathe and change... let say i reach home arounmd 9pn.. i would watch TV normally the channel 8 serial show. then 10pm i would watch the channel U serial show.. then i would continue to watch any show if at 11pm there's something for me to see.. if not i would then on my computer and check ppl's blog, msn ppl, do up my student stuff and then sleep. so by all these are done... it would be like 12 plus earliest maybe around 11pm.. then. its not sleep time yet.. cos i would just sit in front of my computer and do alot of useless surfing of internet... instead of sleeping... hehee.. that's me.. and my night life... so sometimes when i'm at baby house or he came over.. the first thing he reached home.. is switch on computer and let it run first.. then he would walk around in the house within half an hour.. he sure will head for the bathroom... and bathe...

so there's once so funny incident... when we reached home.. he ask me to go bathe first.. it was like 7pm or 8pm.. i responded to him " huh.. so earli. bathe wat.. reached home onli.. sit a while first more lor...." there i was explaining to him my usual habits and reasoning out my way.. he also bo bian have to accept... so the other next time i went over his house... the first thing i did was to switch on his TV and watch... he came into the room after a while.. and responded straight away .." yaya.. i know... sit until u happy first right...??" so funny.. but my heart was feeling very sweet.. hehe... watever it is .. i would try to bathe as early as i can... hehee...

we're sick...

well.. now at home.. not feeling very well... think must be the late night dinner (macs)last night... baby is also not feeling well.. feeling feverish and having sore throat.. i'm still thinking whether to cancel my class tonight.. sianz..



well... nothing much to do... dunno whether its fated for alot of ppl.. its like when you have the heart to do something then something will sure refrain you from doing.. example.. when i want to practice piano, either there will be ppl at home watching TV, i'm sick, last min need to have class... or for example, when i want to go to this place, planned already do wat do wat.. then last min sure will ppl call u do this do that.. then in the end what you plan is gone...



so sometimes i realli agree with baby.. plan so much for wat... plan already also no use.. last min sure will follow one.. so hack man.... shall take things as and when they come...



this week so many classes change here change there.. so sianz... see another bad point about planning? saturday is burned away.. now its like me having to go through army guard duty like that.... most of the time my saturday are like slacking away or going out with baby.. now this week have to teach till 8.30pm... still thinking whether to take classes on sunday... that blur student dun bother to check with me their timing.. i think i can just drop students le... sianz...



last week went out with my poly friends.. quite a few onli la.. expected quite a large group.. but not too bad... didn't too much.. also make me spend so much money on a plate of spaghetti.. sianz.... talk a bit of the old school things.. update each other on our lives... still not so bad la...

oh ya.. i heard something interesting over the radio few days back.... now back in trend.. SUPER MINI SKIRT... and the thing that comes next think is said by 987 radio DJ.. cannot remember who said it... it says that been ugly is the in thing now.. which not ask u to be ugly when you are pretty that kind.. but they are encouraging ppl to be confident about themselves... even if you are ugly or fat or to the negative side.. you can be beautiful too... and there's this show coming to TV i think.. heard its a big hit in UK or somewhere... its UGLY BETTY... haven got the chance to see it yet.. thiink its not on TV yet also... but the point is here... is it becos that ppl can't get prettier so they just encourage ppl to be ugly??? watever it is.. healthy is the main point... fat short skinny pretty slim tall.. as long as healthy i believe its good enough le...

today went to my bro's baby one month celebration.. all ppl commenting that he's very cute.. heheee.. all babies sure very cute one... he's chubby too.. baby scolded me for saying aven getting fatter... maybe now i'm into skinny now or wat.. so i was like commenting how come every time see him always getting rounder... that i forgot that baby should be getting rounder cos this means that they are getting a good life..heehe..

after the celebration.. we went to find some CD that ppl recommended him.. went over to compass point only to know that the CD we reserve yesterday was not the one that is good... so went over THAT CD SHOP @ Pacific Plaza to get the CD.. its realli good.. but kind of ex.. its like $30 for that album.. its a collection by HIGH SOCIETY and then there are alot of albums under that.. recommended to u all too... its available only at THAT CD SHOP....

afer that went over FUNAN IT MALL to collect my free MP3.. heehee.. from SONY but only 512MB.. not too bad.. but cannot choose colour.. only green colour.. so sad.. wanted to that pink but they dun have stock... so sad... never mind la...

then after that we went down and saw the acer road show and guess wat??? we stayed there for like 2 hours and decided to get my laptop.. actually wanted to get it very long ago..but still very indecisive about it.. so now finally got my lap top.. so next time during free time i can do my things and surf net at macdonald.. maybe u will see me at islandwide macdonalds... remember to come up and talk to me and talk a picture with me.. so i can upload here and ppl would know how much i travel out.. hehee... fun sia... so my new lap top name would be XIAO FEN NI (next time then i type out the chinese word.. now still trying to install all the things inside my computer...) so now i have to save money... hmm...sounds familiar right??? been saying this for quite long..

bad luck..

its been long since i kena summon again becos i was a good girl and smart girl too.. knows when to put coupon when can avoid.. but it came to a point i was out of coupons and not able to buy any near by.. so be it.. and there it goes... "summoned again".. fated la hor.. now i shall stock my car with hundreds of coupon and make sure i dun kena summon again... sianz..

just went to chalet yesterday.. quite fun... though i dun alot of them well but been meeting them once in a while.. so not so bad still managed to get some fun out of it.. but i think i was more addicted to the TV that time cos its showing "Day After Tomorrow" (termed as Tuesday by one of the friends) =.=' duh.... it was a nice show.. so i was like watching the show and enjoying the food.. didn't BBQ anything at all.. hee lazy la...thats me.. always avoiding the fire cos i dun like my hair to smell bad... but i managed to help a bit here and there.. hehee... overall good.. but too bad the weather was not very good.. was drizzling.. so they started the fire with the help of an umbrella...

was supposed to remember to upload the photos one.. but forgot to do so at baby's house.. so have to wait till quite long before u guys can see any photos at all.. this friday another gathering.. for my poly friends.. should be going if lessons allow..

yeah.. next month my teacher is performing.. finally going to see her performance in public.. sure i will go one.. now the thing is who to ask along onli.. have to buy tickets fast i think... ask baby tonight see how.. cos that day is also the wedding dinner of his relative that i'm attending.. it doesn't clash but have to rush a bit... luckily the wedding dinner.. near by onli.. at liang court.. clarke quay that side i think... so can just walk there ba... hopefully...

boring waiting time...

so sianz now..waiting time to be up so i can teach my lessons... initially saturday is supposed to be packed day.. say 9.30 to 6.30 all pack with students.. but now..all seems so sianz.. cos its like 3 classes were cancel today.. and then its all so spread out.. *when time given, i grumble. when time not give, i also grumble.* that's the way ppl are lor..

tml going for chalet.. still thinking whether to go or to teach..becos wanted to shift one class over.. so also dunno how...ma fan students... can't they just stick to their time and dun change here and there... sianz... change here and there i also cannot change other students.. not very nice ma... make me wait and wait... and worst still.. never practice...

i have a student who failed her theory.. sad... quite bad... also dunno wat to do with her..becos she always never do her homework and never practice properly..even in the up coming practical exam.. i'm very worried she'll fail too...how??? maybe she fail this time again..then her parents would drop her totally from me.. though its not a good thing.. but at least i no need to trouble myself ma.. hehee...watever it is.. i'll try my best.. or even more..

two weeks into new year..

time realli flies.. already about two weeks into new year le... not yet make any new year resolutions yet... but wouldn't make any difference cos i dun follow them normally..heeheee...

been to a wedding dinner of baby's relative recently... quite big the place and food not too bad..but one thing i dun like is that there are two groups getting married..and the restaurant only have one exit..so they have to walk past our section to get the food or for ppl to go toilet or ppl to leave and for the bride and groom to enter.. quite bad la...i wouldn't choose this kind of restaurant.. other than that quite ok.. luckily the ppl i sat with all i know one..hheee.. so not so bad. did took pictures but its at baby there.. so next time when i go over his house then upload the pictures...

kind of funny when ppl start asking you when's your turn getting married when you are like onli 22 years old.. been asked this question quite a few times..and alot of times when u attend more wedding ceremony..there's another one in Feb and again..its baby's relatives...no friends around me that i know would be settling down soon... still young long long way to go..

last friday went to friend's house warming.. big sia the house.. think its semi-D or terrace..not too sure though..but his house is nicely renovated... got one room got a very big storeroom (equivalent to another room sia)... rich ppl la... so can do all these things lor...

this week got chalet...not those stay over one.. only BBQ...is baby's primary school friends one.. should be going ba... it realli makes a difference when the question is being asked in different situations.. this time round he initiates ("you want to tag along??" ) which does not appear in certain suitations.. at least i know which ones to avoid next time..heheee....

after 4 days of hard work baby's room is ready... eh.. kind of... cos not all things packed till nice nice yet... so let's see the photos here..

1st Day - Saturday

went over his house on saturday around 4 plus.. after visiting da sao at her house... see baby too.. so cute~!~! then reached there.. found out he had already painted part of the wall white.. (base coat)... then tried to help him here and there... managed to paint everything white.. base coat onli... but cos last time his colour is quite obvious so hor can see some patches..

at night went back my house to stay cos his room totally cannot sleep...

Went back to paint the room white and red... started painting around 3 or 4 plus then finished around 10 plus... didnt go anywhere to count down... stayed home to see TV.. watched the countdown in Taiwan.. the fireworks very nice sia....

went to ikea to buy all the new furniture for his room.. nice time shoppping.. first time shop there is for own things wo... hehee...changed his bookcase, computer table.. not too bad.. found quite alot of white furniture... not too bad...
